Hello to my 46 email subscribers,

First, whether it was back in 2023 or recently, thank you for subscribing!

I've only used the email function once before, but I write to you today to let you know I plan to use it more. I have no intention of spamming you, more so writing a newsletter once a month in order to provide an update on and insight to my work for my subscribers.

So let me start by recapping the past 9 months or so.

In December I decided to take a much needed 3 month vacation, backpacking through Central & South America. While on the road I made some lifelong friends, had incredible experiences and scratched the creative itch by watercolor sketching along the way.

Once I got back to Brooklyn, I started to rebuild my life here by looking for a job, apartment and work studio. Fortunately, I have finally sorted all 3 out and am back in the studio doing what I love, making jewelry.

Additionally, a month ago I traveled to Arcadia, Missouri to take an engraving course with the master engraver Ray Cover. Engraving is something I've wanted to learn for a few years now and I'm so grateful I got to finally learn it. I'm super excited to start incorporating engraving into my work and I want to share my progress with you all as I practice the craft. I have some big ideas involving writing, poetry, comic books, drawing and more, all possible with engraving. Here are some photos from my time in Arcadia.

So what's next?

I'm working 4 days a week right now and have pretty limited time in the studio, so progress might be a little slow. Nevertheless, I will be practicing engraving and I also intend to develop and release some new jewelry pieces in time for the holiday season. Then I will look towards putting together a proper collection in time for Spring or Summer 2027. Engraving & stone setting will be a big focal point of my work, continuing to build off old motifs from the past. I'll still make my signature bracelets which I love - recently at a bar, I spotted one of you strangers wearing one of my bracelets and it truly made my night.

I've enjoyed writing this so far and look forward to writing more. I may even archive and add these to a section on the website in case anyone cares to look back. I'd also love to hear back from you guys, so feel free to reply with any feedback, comments, questions etc.
